Finally got this one to the finish line. The canopy is a major focus on this one, and of course it is less perfect than I would like when I look at the pictures but it looks fine on the shelf. I will do better next time...I WILL do better next time. :bored:

The landing gear is very accurate, lots of pieces and nice fits, but care and patience is required. Minicraft says to paint the tubes fort the exhaust a dark metallic color, but that would not be right for the T-34, as those are not exhaust pipes, the exhaust pipes stop further up inside the tubes which are stainless steel. These tubes in conjunction with the exhaust gases draw air out of the cowling as part of engine cooling and are called augmentor tubes. They also enhance the noise factor markedly, and are not found on Bonanzas which have cowl flaps to control engine cooling.

I found that Minicraft's estimate for nose weight was on the high side, instead of 1 ounce I think .6 ounces is plenty. As you can see in the first photo there is .5 ounces on the nose gear after I added .8 or .9 ounces.

She turned out great John. I thought it was a nice little kit and a great addition to my growing trainer wing. Well done.
