Multiple intertwined colors are never fun to mask and paint, but you make this look easy. Very nice.

Bruce, yes the vertical striations are reflections from the LEDs in my photo box. This thing is less than two inches from touching the ceiling in there. And yes, I think that edited this photo to vivid… or at least basic enhanced. No diorama is planned for this build… but yes I think that I’ll need to take an outdoors photo once this is finished and mounted on the launch platform. At that point it will be too tall to get into my photo box.
Brandon, the masking was anything but easy. Trying to match the pattern angles and positions was a definite challenge. Working from light to dark, spraying on then masking the Cream White was comparatively simple, being the least prevalent color. The Dark Yellow took three different sessions to mask off. So spraying the Dark Green was the final step and that part went easy enough.

Just caught up with this Carlos, and excellent bit of work - that camo is superb.
My Great-Grandmother told me about the V-2 attacks when I was a kid. They were much worse than the V-1, at least with those you had some warning. All you got with the V-2 was a sudden explosion out of nowhere - they never knew where and when they were going to hit - Sounds bloody terrifying.

Kinda like doing splinter camo on German aircrafts. A pain to do but worth it at the end.

Stuart, I can only imagine how terrifying the V-2 was for the folks in the targeted areas. Certainly not like today where at least radar can be paired with an alert system to send out a warning.
Tom, yes, this was quite similar to doing an aircraft splinter camo. But wings and fuselage are a tad bit easier to mask up.
