Looks fun Lyle. I think that early Tamiya Panther may have been the only tank kit I ever finished. I remember having the Sherman and the Stug IV I can’t remember if I finished either of them. I know I finished the pan, though I remember vividly airbrushing it with Tamia, dark, yellow, red brown, and some sort of green color with my Pache VL airbrush while freezing in the garage in the winter time. my dad had a really old tank compressor that you had to pour hot water over the piston in the winter time to get it to start

Fun can be so subjective. Those seem to be great, fond memories for you. I am oddly detached yet enjoying this one.

In what is a completely strange and unknown world to me, I've been trying something new here. Adding some parts or painting something and then setting it aside to thoroughly dry. Wow. Anyway, My time on this one is to make incremental progress, no matter how slow it seems. I also decided to add the bits and pieces on the hull prior to painting the details. We shall see how that goes. Of course, I had to respray the tan and now I'm getting ready to add the green and red/brown.









Added some white canopy glue to fill the periscope voids.



So, the compressor is fired up, and the camo is to be applied shortly.

Hey, Stuart, I just saw your question, did anyone answer that? If not, here goes; it's a great airbrush so far. The pistol grip design really helps someone like myself, who has nerve damage and reduced "feeling" in my fingers. I just never could get on with those top-button type double-action ABs. This Gaahleri really fills the bill! And it is so easy to clean! I recently did my first 'deep cleaning" and it went well too. The cherry on top is the fact that they're pretty cheap, too.

Thanks Gents - I might have to look into one of those as they appeal. I suffer from RSI quite a lot and I've never really found the top button on an airbrush very comfortable.

Speaking of which, I need to jump back on my Panther tank as soon after I finish another little side project started. Hopefully, I'll finish it by the end of this weekend.
