Plan B is rolling. Went to my LHS again today and got this:
-Hasegawa F-15 DJ "Aggressor 2013"
-Hasegawa US-Pilot/Ground Crew Set B
-spill wagon from Aerobonus
-pallet truck from Aerobonus
Unfortunately, the CMK pilot is bigger than the Hasegawa ground crew figures. BTW, this is - by coincidence - gonna be a dual build! When I visited the shop today, the owner told me that hes building the blue machine from the box atm as well.
So I hope he has her ready for our expo in February 2015.
And the Revell F-15E? Maybe I build it like that... one day.

A real challenge are the Hasegawa gound crew figures. Basically, Japanese ground crews look similar. But the details on some figures are pretty awful, so I had to make a choice and had to play Dr. Frankenstein. Lead wire and Milliput again here. The pilot shown here is oob from the DJ kit.

Very nice work... it sounds like we will not see this one make it to completion. That's too bad.

I will say this, the title sure threw me off from looking. I guess that I am like my kids say, and too literal about things.

nice save on the HUD arms. With my luck, i wouldve broke them off had I tried sanding them down!

I could change the title, if that helps.
The Hasegawa plastic is pretty hard and "thankful" when it comes to sanding, so that isnt a problem.

So with you leaving, are you going to finish this? Or is it just the figures forum you're leaving?

Good news: The Fifteen is almost ready for some paint. Sanding was a pain in the butt, I had to "feed" her with milliput, Mr. Surfacer and all that funny stuff. Just some antennaes have to be installed - and thats pretty much it, then comes the bodypainting.
