lol - yeah well, I'd agree on that, I really don't like local population.

There's nothing wrong with where I live as such, I'm aware that there are far far worse places I could live, but when I've said that I've said everything. I live in the south east of England (if you drew a line between London and Birmingham, I'm in the middle) which is far too over-populated for me, and in a region that is pretty boring. I love wide-open spaces, forests moorland and mountians - and we have none where I live. It also bothers me that I live about as far away from the Sea as you can get in this country - I really do love the Sea. It's also too noisey - I live right on top of a main trunck road, and in a street full of noisey kids.

where I stayed on Holiday, he had a cottage in the middle of nowhere on top of a hill. From the Garden you could see the sea on one side, and the moreland on the other. The only thing I could hear was the wind and the birds (ans sheep) - it was wonderful.

It's not my thread but I'm glad you jacked into it, Stuart. I believe that any response relates the thread within a real world context, so I find your posts to be quite relevant. Marius is on his holiday too, so I have noticed that a wee model gets tucked into luggage to be worked upon during the time spent on holiday. Borg too. You guys are all great at picking out subjects to suit the occasion.

As far as locations go, I have lived in the very noisy cities as well, so I feel your pain, my friend. Sounds to me as though you need a body of water nearby that is not a bog or a swamp.

Welcome back, Marius. Your work continues to be a great influence. How did you manage such soft gray tones on your upper surfaces, and what colors are the propeller blades? These look very realistic.

Yes, these are the original decals off the box which is supposed to be from the mid/late 70's.
The went on well and they are not too thick. You have to bath them very long and then you have to whash off the milky glue (?). But currently I have trouble with decal softener on future. Ugly marks on the surface...

Thanks Bruce. Why has it a great influence? I used Gunze RLM 74/75/76 and airbrushed without masking. I tried to use those colors with low air pressure and in very thin condition.
Propeller blades are brushed with Humbrol RLM70 enamel and with no certain modification.
