Six is dead astern to an aircraft. 12 dead ahead. 3 to the right and 9 to the left. As in the orientation of a clock (non digital

) high or low are the relative position of an object compared to the aircraft. I'm sure you have heard of the classic movie "Twelve O'Clock High"? The tittle refers to the preferred head on attack by German fighters on B-17's.
And your 190 turned out beautifully! Another great example of the end result depends upon the modeler, not the kit!

Thanks Stikpusher fir the explanation. And for your view of my work.
Beside the FW 190 I filled and sanded the Ta 183. That has to be redone. I really need to do a Tamiya or Hasegawa. How nice would it be to build without filler, sanding, polishing....

Yes, it is nice to do a shake and bake kit every now and then so you can recharge your modeling batteries...

The Fw turned out very well and the Ta 183 is very interesting. I can see traits that were carried over to the MiG-15.

Yesterday night I detailled the landing gear houses. I have no picture.
And here comes what I have finished so far in 2017.

Is that TA-183 the PM kit? If so, that is going to be a very rare kit very soon. The owner of PM died a few years ago and his heirs (?) decided to sell all the steel injection molds as scrap metal!

Yes it is PM. Not the PM in Revell box.
The kit should be replaced by a new mold.
