1. First model kit?
Monogram 1:32 Snap Together "Street Cleaner" Z-28 Camaro.

2. Preferred scale?
For most aircraft 1/48, 1/144 airliners/transports, 120mm figures, 1/24-25 cars and 1/12 bikes - I'm all over the place

3. Preferred subject or subjects?
I lean towards US WWII and later aircraft but also dabble in civil/commercial aircraft, auto and bikes lately and an occasional figure.

4. Favorite model built to date?
In terms of outcome/goals - I'd say the 120mm Jaguar stretcher bearer - Ardennes 1944 - that one placed 2nd at the IPMS nationals in Phoenix. In terms of Joy of building I'd have to say 1/48 Tamiya P-47D bubble top - the kit falls together.

5. Hardest model built to date?
Hasegawa 1/72 S-2T tracker Cal Fire air tanker. Beautiful conversion kit from Wolf Model and great decals from Draw Decal but a lot of surgery required and hours of fitting and sanding.

6. Holy Grail kit?
Not sure here - I think the industry has caught up with everything I could desire.

7. Favorite kit maker?
Big fan of Tamiya kits - surprise. Great engineering and a wide array of subjects from aircraft, cars, bikes etc. Great catalog

8. Favorite glue or glues?
I have been using Weld-on #4 for 20 years but its very hot. I use Tamiya thin as well.

9. Favorite paint?
I'm a big fan of model master enamels. I've learned to thin and spray these consistently. For NMF I've found Alclad is excellent.

10. What started you as a modeler?
Not sure why my folks bought me the snap tite Camaro back when I was 7 years old, but I really enjoyed putting it together and looking at it on my dresser thinking that - hey I built that. After that kit I had many frustrations and failures building glue together kits and wanting to play with them before the old testors tube glue dried but carried on because some how the assembly was really satisfying. I saved up my leaf raking and lawn mowing money and bought a Binks Wren airbrush around 12 years old or so, that was a mile stone. Then I met a friend, probably around 16 who showed me what putty/filler was and it was off to the races - finally a solutions for those pesky seams.

Another great one guys. That stretcher bearer you did was excellent, wish I could get my figures to come out like he did.

You have come a long way from the SnapTite Camero! Glad you are part of us.

I remember several of those builds that you mention- the stretcher bearer, and the Cal Fire Tanker really come to mind immediately.
