I will write more but this remains also a strong possibility thanks to the kind offer of Marius to print a figure using .stl files.
That's an outstanding offer that I would personally have difficult to say no to!

Thanks, Kari!!

I’m grateful to have made such good and inspiring friends through the forum, yourself included. I’ve been a bit confused as to the direction to take with this project, but it’s important to keep going and find the solution. Marius has provided some great ideas!

Squid for lunch Bruce?

That pilot model should look the business under some paint!

Oh that figure looks really nice! Yes, a 3-d file is adjustable to fit what you need and should be the perfect solution.

Thanks, Stuart and Carlos!

I appreciate your replies. It was my special effects builder friend Randy who put me on to that figure as he is modifying the file to use for one of his own projects and the calamari is part of another special effects builder and friend’s opening sequence where a giant sea monster attacks!

Update from Marius—checking measurements against the kit cockpit itself tonight.

Thanks, Stuart and Tom!

Calamari was served al fresco last night on a crazywide backyard set of black plastic and cloth that ran about 60 feet by 20 feet. Fingers crossed that the footage looks good. From what I can tell, it does.

I took pilot figure measurements (ideal measurements) for Marius:

X is 12.7 mm
Y is 12.7 mm
Z is 38.0 mm

Maybe the pilot seat needs to be a bit bigger?
