Arnhem is just half an hour from my place. There is good museum on Market Garden and they also have yearly airborne memorial week. We try to honour the veterans that liberated us.

Very nice contrast between the crankcase grey, black cowling and yellow body! It looks like the paint is getting a little bit lumpy on the crankcase cover around the push rods... too many layers of paint?

I think your idea for the manufacturer plate looks really good.

John—agreed. Too many layers. Made a few adjustments using 15K, 20K Alpha Abrasives paper, but the seller on eBay practically gave away a fresh kit, so I can make a clean start using lessons learned. I will continue to add details and adjustments to the current version as a learning exercise.

That is awesome. Just a couple weeks ago I was at the Hall where we were playing a tabletop wargame in 28mm re-enacting that very battle. In particular, the Polish unit's drop.

I for one love the look of your engine already. Your texture to me is spot on. I think you nailed it perfectly, and that bronze nameplate is amazing! I agree with Carlos: Don't you dare sideline this! This Thread is really getting good! I want to see this finished!

I am not going to sideline this, and it is because of you. The second kit will be here on Thursday, so I am going to start with the engine components first and merge these kits together as one complete build. I have been waiting with my teeth gritted while Carlotta waits to learn if she still has Covid. And our only option to see each other at the moment will be in March 2021, if she is accepted at UCLA. I feel cautiously optimistic.
