It is a bit difficult to answer to both posts, but I'll try to. The cabinet is a Pax wardrobe with following dimensions: 200 cm x 100 cm x 60 cm. It is large enough to store my very old Heller Air Force One.
It has a 92 cm long LED at the top. But because the draws have no glass bottom, the draws are not lightened. So there is room for the poor models. But I want to lighten them too.
I like your ideas about to do it, Bruce.
During the next days Ì am going to show what is on the shelves.

The Ta 183 is Now almost ready to be painted...

... what I meant about trying for a soft color... obviously not your aesthetic, but there is something clean and minimal about the style which a soft blue will highlight... you can choose how subtle the effect will become.

I think a blue color may add visual interest to the cabinet itself. You also mentioned earlier that you plan to light the shelves as well. Hm! Is there room to add strip lights inside perhaps at the top of drawer? There are five drawers, I believe. You could add the subtle color inside the drawers. That could be... geil.

Last Sunday I prepared my Ta 183 for painting and processed scratched cockpit elements in the corsair.
Some other kits were arranged to get their first interior basic colors.


Coloring followed yesterday.
Ta 183 got a first layer of RLM 66 onto the canopy frames. The original Wings would have been made off wood, so only the fuselage was colored in Aluminum. It looks a bit like a MiG, doesn't it? Now it is set for next steps.

And you are right with the wingtips too. Now this draft os a little guide line for me .

Marius this is coming along well. The fit sure looks good for the most part. I believe this design was modified by the Russians to get the MiG-15.

Do you have a profile? What happens on the lower fuselage?
