Thank you so much for your reply, John. I pulled down that line of inquiry, but your answer is most helpful.

I am studying your work in progress intently. I realize that the top tub in your photo was rejected due to fit issues but it still is very useful for FW cockpit study—because the DNA is shared between Dora and Anton, of course.

I hope you don’t mind me posting your work in progress here. Currently the Anton cockpit I am building has had a floor wash applied with a fascinating pencil product made by Derwent called “Graphitone,” which is soluble graphite.

I discovered Graphitones when Derwent started adding them to their pencil kits. Really nice tone!

I seem to be just a bit lost here. What is wrong with the cockpit floor? Is it warped?

No. Sorry! There is a missing rod linkage mechanism for the pilot’s feet, I am being either fussy or bullheaded about something unseen. Or both?

Here is what I wanted to add as a sketch:

Kit instructions:

Here is A1 actual:

P.S. The floor is warped but it fits and I think that heating and reforming it would be “unnecessary roughness” to thin resin.

Oh okay I must have missed you talking about that earlier my apologies. That should be easy to build up with some round styrene and also make for some nice detail.

I have an idea based on what you and John both suggest. Thank you so much.

Looks like some of the rudder pedal linkage should descend off the back of the IP.
