Beautiful work, Ken! My theory is that the more times I tell myself not to invert the assembly of a part, the more likely it is for me to invert the assembly of the part.

“The first rule of Sprue Club is... don’t think before you glue the part. The second rule of Sprue Club is... think before you glue the part.”

I have such limited knowledge of Zeros, but this photo of a carrier based fighter with drop tank shows an interesting darker band of weathering—I wonder if this is from refueling on a platform?

Thank you! And Nosir, that isn’t BS! Not at all. It’s true! I bet me thinking NOT putting the struts in backwards is what caused me to do it to begin with

As to the drop tank, that’s a great photo! And thank you! As to how that stain got there, I’m inclined to agree with you. Maybe it’s from a fill-up that went a little crazy for a moment or two. I’ll be staining my drop tank in a similar way. Out the hole and down the side.

I see the painting stages so far as being a complete success and look forward to your next moves! Cheers, mate.

Coming along quite well.

But beware... looks to be a bit of decal film hanging off the landing gear door stripes....

How very observant of you. That didn’t escape me.

Those decals are currently settling in and confirming around the shape of the gear bay covers thanks to:

Thank you, Bruce and Stewart. I can’t believe it’s almost finished. That blows my mind. It feels like I’ve been working on this for years.
