The Red Roo cuffed blades have the correct, thicker mounting posts attached, but when I checked the way the Hase kit parts dome hub and spinner are formed—the enlargement of the holes within the parts would lead to much surgery; therefore I chose to add the largest diameter brass posts to each resin blade after I removed the resin and drilled new holes in each one to fit the brass tubing. The blades fit well, the brass is much stronger too.

Checking the fit of the blades reveals one blade is slightly looser than the others. The problem may be the fit on the spider itself but I think a small amount of "something" added when mounted should make the blade fit tightly. I am not sure what to use—some kind of thicker CA gel? Would that be your advice?

I’d look for some kind of telescoping tubing to tighten up the fit. Between the brass, copper, and aluminum tubing I see at RC shops, there should be something that works, with their varying wall thicknesses.

If you have good contact but its just loose, I wouldn't worry too much about it. You can use gel CA but regular CA might be enough to provide bonding contact. Might be overkill but you could also use something like JB Kwik Weld. It's got a toothpaste-like consistency and sets up within minutes but you have to mix two components.

The Red Roo resin adds the right shape! I just primed all four blades in black fine ZM Surfacer, which is fast becoming a favorite of mine. Thanks for looking and your comments as well, bud.
