Your work is awesome, I'm sure you've seen my comments before where I commend those of you who work in 1/72!! It drives me crazy and then I get grumpy, so I'm sure my family will appreciate me staying with 1/48 & 1/32, until we dont have room to put stuff away! I have done one 1/144 airliner, but you dont have to worry about adding little detail stuff since you'd never see it anyway.
I've tried using Future, but didnt really like the results, seemed to get a minor orange peel texture. Recently, I switched over to Alclad Aqua Klear gloss and love it!
Looking forward to see what else you are working on.

I was in a hurry to complete them in time for the contest, and didnt post up WIP shots.

these are the wing racks for the eagle. I decided not to go with the extra fuel tanks, and went with a heavy bomb load (sidewinders for defense!)


amid all that nonsense, I realized I forgot to paint the burner cans! DOH Careful masking followed....




so here they sit as of now. I just gotta find some time to snap those "finished" pics!

I was spraying it on. I had heard about people brushing it on, but I was worried it would be too thick and hide detail.

nah, I use it on all my builds. One light coat is really all I need. That plus the glue method really helps those decals stick down.

here's an older build, but I used a coat of future over the paint, decals, wash, with another coat of future to seal (its a "showbird"). As you can see, panel lines remained nice and sharp!

That looks great Owl, I have tried some experiments using Future for a decal adhesive. I was impressed out how it sucked the decals down onto the details under it as it dried; for that experiment I did brush it on, but only on the small area the decal was being applied to. What do you do to keep dust from getting on the surface while the Future dries?
