Re: Kinetic 1:48 Fouga Magister
Looking good. I saw a Fouga at an airshow in Rochester couple years back and it did take to the air. An interesting aircraft no doubt and doesn't really need a ladder for a pilot to step in onside one. I can imagine landing one is a challenge since it sits pretty low.

Thanks Bsy for the tip!BsYamato wrote:Despite the problems the kit looks fine Kari. Try with superfilm liquid to save these Finnish roundels , I use it for old or homemade decals.
I suspected the Heller kit will be a fun build![]()
Waiting for the finished Finnish

So stupid as it may sound, I actually have an unused bottle of Microscales liquid decal film... had totally forgot I had it!

Indeed, it's a very tiny jet... amazing they frenchmen were able to squeez two jet engines in it... smallies of course, but still..BlackSheep214 wrote:Looking good. As I have understood from the Finnish pilots remembering this plane, that the Fougas were pretty difficult to fly. Of roughly 80 planes that were in use by Finnish Airforce, 12 was destroyed in accidents.
From which 5 fatal accidents happened in 1977. I think those accidents accelerated the decision to replace Fougas with BAe Hawks.

"Someone" has listened to my prays....
A decal company called Avalon Production will come out with specific Fouga Magister 1/48 decals for Finnish Air Force Fougas!
And this wonderful thing is planned to happen already in October!

That is strange. Usually the necessary aftermarket items are released just when you are finished with a build.KSaarni wrote:"Someone" has listened to my prays....
