Re: Ma.K Armored Raider Pk.f 85 Falke
Before assembling the fuse parts I realized there was a visible gap behind the pilot seat.
![Image](http://i1058.photobucket.com/albums/t410/traceur813/Firewall002.jpg)
So I made a firewall with some stock material.

![Image](http://i1058.photobucket.com/albums/t410/traceur813/Firewall001.jpg)
Mucho buenitero!
After assembly came the tedious work of filling, sanding and re-scribing. Some of the kit's panel lines and rivets had to be entirely re-scribed as they were far too shallow.
![Image](http://i1058.photobucket.com/albums/t410/traceur813/assembly007_1.jpg)
For the big rivets I used a hypo needle cut straight with its edge filed to a sharp edge. Works like a charm.
![Image](http://i1058.photobucket.com/albums/t410/traceur813/assembly011.jpg)
![Image](http://i1058.photobucket.com/albums/t410/traceur813/assembly012.jpg)
Once painted the work done on the air filters pays off!
![Image](http://i1058.photobucket.com/albums/t410/traceur813/boom_intake011.jpg)
Next came the last area in need of detailing: the inside of the hatch. I used the AirScale 1/24 "Cockpit Details" fret for the instruments, switches, etc. These have really nice details.

Re: Ma.K Armored Raider Pk.f 85 Falke
With the advent of indirect vision the Ma.K pilots could do away with clear canopies and replace them with heavily armored hatches, which offered plenty of space on the inside for instrumentation and controls. Overhead, just like in bombers and airliners.
On the modeling side, I wanted to make the inside of the open hatch a focal point that attracts the viewers attention to the cockpit detail. So I put on my greebler hat and went to work as detailed in the last post. Here's the final result after the painter came by.

I'm quite happy with how it turned out. Hope you like it too!

Re: Ma.K Armored Raider Pk.f 85 Falke
This is such a lovely build, Michel. I'm enjoying every bit of it. Your scratch work along with your accented detail painting is nothing less than amazing.
Will have to keep that custom riveter in mind. Thanks for that!
And now go on, Prime Minister.

Re: Ma.K Armored Raider Pk.f 85 Falke
That is some impressive work on the "greebleSturmHowzit" hatch-a-ma-thingy. Sharp detail and your skill are quite evident. ![shoutout :shoutout:](./images/smilies/icon_shoutout.GIF)
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..
Re: Ma.K Armored Raider Pk.f 85 Falke
Wish I had this riveter when I build mine.
Very great detailing here. If the painting will be as half as good as this, its gona be a true show stopper.

Re: Ma.K Armored Raider Pk.f 85 Falke
Thank you all for the kind words!
I've got another Ma.K kit cooking now.
They're both on the front burner, which should make things interesting!

We scifi guys have more fun with ours buildings, cause there are no rules and rivets to be counted.
