That looks fine to me as well. You don't want it to be too shiny. I think it's subtle enough as is.

Exactly, if Starfighters arent something, then its "shiny".

I think you nailed the metallic tail extremely well. Having seen several Starfighters in several museums around here; the metal is surprisingly dull anyway. I have a feeling it is due to the high temps of the exhaust coming out. You have captured that look perfectly.

Also, I don't know why you thin your Future. I shoot mine straight and it goes on so well.

Hi All - thanks, I might have been a bit too hard on my self.

Tigrazor - that is one beat-up Starfighter. far from the glossy museum pieces.

Got the wheels attached. I am assuming this is a very light plane. struts looks so thin and tiny!



Main wheels. you can see three things here:
- The interior with the scratch build pipes (I thought they were wires) , with pre shading, and all hand painted. the pipes are made of metal, and many of them have metallic/aluminum colour
- The resin doors is thicker than I thought. there are no hinges so I drilled holes for three copper wires to go through them as a way to anchor them to the body.
- The intake root cracked as I was working on the landing gears. hence, the need to add new putty and do the obvious sanding routine.

Well, being hard on yourself is what gets you such beautiful results. Internal motivation is what drives us the hardest. And it shows here.

I have plenty pictures of that bird (and others) here. Just give me a hint if you need some more.

The museum is just 60 km away from here - all the birds there are in that condition. Well at least the deLorean of the small car museum there is in brand new shape.

Thanks Guys. I Think what i need is information on weathered Spanish Starfighters. I have so far gotten nil. All the stuff i have seen are very well maintained aircraft.

I saw this Belgium example. I REALLY like the subtle weathering. I wonder if i can apply it on the grey camouflage
