Have you tried Military Hobbies? Jim Woody owns the shop so it's almost a de facto IPMS Orange County asset. I don't know how they compare to Brookhurst for prices, but they give a 10% discount to IPMS members; although I'm not sure of that applies to National membership only, or all club members. They are very good at ordering things for people too. They've gotten me quite a few things, including the two SCUDs I posted earlier. Besides, I don't mind paying a little extra to support a fellow club member. Jim may live out of state, but he's still an IPMS Orange County member.

Yes, I go there too. It's just really nice having a shop within walking distance. The only reason I don't hang out at the neighborhood shop is that they are primarily RC. But since they do carry Tamiya & Model Master Paints, a better selection of kits than Hobby Lobby, and stuff like CA and other supplies, they are first on my list if I need a quick supply run.

Thank you Stuart. Hopefully in the next few days I can get this near completion. My days off this week are pretty full of taskings already.

Nice save on the prop. For a minute I thought you've gotten impatient on the build like Lyle...

ROFL!
After the decals, on to the riggings. She's looking pretty good.

To this day, I have never been able to get to the Tootsie Roll inside on a Tootsie Pop by licking the pop. One, two, three......crunch.

Yeah, life has just been a tad bit more hectic the past few weeks so I have not had much desire to get to the bench. My days off over the next couple weeks do not look any more promising... Not to mention the added time eaters of mandatory overtime shifts at work as well as the standard court appearance every so often... somehow I want to get this done before the end of the year... with rigging.
