Man I just love seeing these Eduard kits come together as they are very rewarding. The great work just continues here Kent. Way to go.

I do like the Wurger and seeing the work going on here is pretty much giving me the itch to start my Revell 32 F-8.
This is awesome for me to witness.

Lookin' good Kent. I really like Eduards landing gear on these kits as their the proper length and they pack a lot of detail. As a matter of fact I replaced the incorrect landing gear on my Tamiya Fw190 D-9 with Eduard's landing gear and it worked perfect.

Thanks for the interest. I do like the MLG as well, it looks flimsy but once joined it gives a good solid base. Just a small update with a dash of colour to the retraction gear wiring:
The canopy internals are done. PE brace and bolts from the D9 PE set and 0.2mm lead wire for the braces. All coated with Aeromaster RLM 66, including masked canopy interior (yes, I am one of those), PE warning sign attached and leather pad:
Checked the seams with some leftover....hmmm a bit of work to do, particularly that port wing root:
Regards,

You da man for being able to get those wing root cannon access panels to sit that flush Kent. Great work.

You are too kind, I just followed the instructions and cut carefully.
Thanks again for your comments,
Not a big update, just trying to get the forward wing root areas smoothed out. Some tape to protect the river detail then an application of PPP, smoothed with the Little Pinky Mk. I:
I shall let that set up and hopefully a swipe or three with sanding sticks will see it all smooth.
Regards,

Moving inexorably forward,
Well more than three swipes but I think it's close:
I have been busy on other areas too. The the brass armaments have been blackened with Uschi and all the painted parts such as undercarriage, doors, armaments and head armour have had a coat of gloss lacquer in preparation for a wash:
The missing panel underneath has been scribed. As luck would have it, the panel is an elongated circle and I did not have the correct size. The panel piece from the Eduard A8 doors and panels was removed and shaped to fit the underside. It was then taped across the width and carefully scribed around the outside. Once that was done, it was taped lengthwise and the two side tapes lifted so I could carefully scribe the remaining edges. Not the easiest way but the result is passable:
I then couldn't resist a dry fit of the prop and spinner, followed by a quick circuit with appropriate engine growling sounds:
Regards,

That looks great so far! Nice work on scribing that panel on the belly as well.
Say, did A-5's have the option of going with the paddle bladed props or were the skinny ones the only ones available on those models?

Nice engraving work, Kent! Though it's on the underside of the plane it adds some cool detail and accuracy.
I'm looking forward to your paintwork!
