Sufficed to say all of the running gear has been built up and attached to the chassis, and worse still I've started to paint up the interior - with enamels and a paintbrush. I know I should use an airbrush, or at least a spray, but I just love brush painting - I actually enjoy it - it suits who I am.
Mind you, I had a lot of fun this evening - bashing an old Airfix kit, happy in a haze of tube glue and enamel fumes

Bash away! What matters most is your enjoyment and the results you receive are yours! I did the whole Aurora Moonbus kit that way... brushes, paint bottles, photo etch... er, not quite the same way but pretty close. Know what? I am happiest with the seats and the cockpit which are brushed and dry brushed and washed with plain old black and brown ink. Go for what makes you happy.

Really nothing exciting - I've put together all the running gear and now I'm just playing with paint. It has reminded me however why I stopped painting with gloss paint - so I need to get more matt black.

I was thinking about you yesterday because I received the MiG AMMO line of USAF WWII colors and acrylic thinner. The bottles state that the mixtures are for both paint and brush work. Have you tried these before?
Also—the brush work looks great. Large flat areas drive me crazy with a brush. I actually used a sponge brush to stipple the surface; each time re-orienting the direction of the paint. I tip my hat, or is it “doff my cap?” Metaphors — all over the shop.
