Carlos, Valleycon is on Sunday March 4th. at the Peterson Museum. I am looking for a ride so keep me posted. Parking is $12.00 so I'm hoping to help someone out by riding along.

Got it. I’ll let you know if I do go. That’s up in Simi Valley, right?

Some minor progress today-

just showing the clean up of the plugs on the original tail mounts

and I spent a little time airbrushing on some Gray Tamiya Liquid Surface Primer on the cockpit interior parts

I’ll let that dry over nite and start working on painting in there tomorrow...

Carlos,

Your work looks great! What color or colors will be used for the cockpit interior and is there a different color used for the instrument panel than walls, floor and seat?

Thanks Bruce. I am going to go with RAF Gray Green for the cockpit interior and Black for the IP. Later Vampires had a fully black cockpit, and I have not found any pictures of the inside of the cockpit of the last surviving F.1. But I did come across a F.3 that had a gray green interior, so I am using that as my reference point. I did see one F.3 with a brown Bakelite seat, as some Spitfires had, but I’m gonna stick with the gray green.

Bruce is right; it's at the Peterson Automotive Museum. Still looking for a ride. Gonna send out a blast E-mail and see who bites.

Excellent progress so far. This is really looking great.
