The weather this morning is lovely. So I thought I’d get a paint session in before the front pushes through. 25 mph. winds and rain don’t make for good airbrushing outside on the old car port. Of course, because I did that I’ll have to go out running in it later on (I normally run in the mornings) but whatever. I’m feeling more confident with the airbrush fundamentals I’m learning.

You’re making great progress Kenny. I can’t wait to see the second color of the upper camo scheme on there.

Thank you sir! I’m hoping to get that on there, at least on the wings, today. Here’s hoping the weather accommodates me.

Thank you!

I really appreciate the support and kind words you guys have all been giving me as I’ve worked on this. I’m in a situation where I’m learning tons of new things all the time, and your stopping in and leaving a good word here and there has helped me a whole lot not only in terms of calibrating my sense of “Okay, I’m on the right track with how I’m learning how to build and paint”, but also with my motivation to really learn the fundamentals of airbrushing.

I appreciate it!

My masking is a total overkill, but as I learn, the tape not only helps me prevent mishaps, it also shows me where lots of overspray is happening. So one thing I do when I airbrush is, try to get as little of the tape dirty as I can.

No overkill in the masking Kenny!

Even a tiny small gap in masking causes more hassle afterwards, than adding one additional stripe of maskingtape!

That’s how I feel about it. I’ a “Measure twice, cut once.” And “Mask the shit out of it and check for twice gaps before you paint” type of guy.
