DI water? What is that?

DI is Deionized water it doesn't carry a electrical charge since it's had most minerals removed. It's a lot like distilled water that you can also use to thin Vallejo. I just use DI because I have a DI purification system at work and when I run out I just bring the jug in and fill it back up.

It’s what comes out of the shower head in cheap motels in Mississippi is what it is! Can’t rinse the soap off with it, can’t rinse the shampoo out of your hair with it, it’s practically useless except for mixing with Vallejo paint, apparently!

Well, if I ever make it to Mississippi, I’ll have to stay at an expensive motel then... :giggles:

Yessir! Be choosy, and stop by and see me in Lafayette, LA for dinner on your way there. I’ll cook.

Deal.... and if you travel out west my way, I’ll return the hospitality. The rest of the year near L.A., and starting next year, in Arizona.

That's a pretty fab looking colour Kenny - it'll be great see the whole aircraft in it.

I've always liked the scheme you've chosen for this build - it makes a big change from the more usual green (not that there's anything wrong with that either).

I like the color scheme from those early A6M2’s as well. I’m thinking about it, it seemed like it’d scratch my itch for a monochromatic scheme that I could try to make exciting. You know I’m fond of those Panzers I build for the same reason- just because the vehicle is primarily monochromatic doesn’t mean it has to be boring! ;-) :-D

The Zero is a colorful aircraft, especially in the monotone color scheme. The black cowling, red rising suns, NMF prop and spinner, various color bands on the tail area. All against the sky gray base color.

I can’t not go for it.
