Grumman TBM-3 Avenger, 1/48, Acc. Min.
Re: Grumman TBM-3 Avenger, 1/48, Acc. Min.
I'm not sure what would have caused that gap. All the reviews I've read on these kits never mentioned anything to look out for. We are looking at the same weather here, it's been coming down in buckets for the past hour.

Hope you are safe! There did not seem to too many options installing this. The few reviews I’ve read mentioned no issues, either. Wonder if it had anything to do with the white box edition?

John, any recommendations for a simple wash? I have tried using some artist oils and thinner.
Had a perfect fit and everything closed up nicely until I added the bulkhead (Part # 29 back.

it is simply too wide at the "shoulders" in this case.

And, I guess the Debonder will do this to plastic. Seems to be just discoloration.

Nothing a little sanding work can’t fix on that bulkhead.

Nope, I was impressed that I kept what wits I have left about me and did the "adult" thing.....it is just about fixed. Just a scosh more and it will be right.

Thanks, Carlos. Just put the seat back in place. Now for the bomb bay shackles...I am truly conflicted (heading to my safe place) about closing it up or leaving it open...

Just a warning to all the kits out there: Don't you mess with Lyle!
Cheers,

I appreciate the sentiment! I am slowly getting a little better at fixing things, since I screw them up so much. I don’t get this misfit, though.mostrich wrote:Just a warning to all the kits out there: Don't you mess with Lyle!
Got the bomb shackles back on and had to make one. Surprise....
