The German Army was and is very strict regarding the relationship soldier/weapon. During my service you were not allowed to keep a distance of more than 1m (bit more than 3ft) between you and your weapon. Even when having a s**t that darn thing was your companion. There were only few occasions where you're allowed to hand it to a comrade for a few minutes.

See....that's what I was thinking as well. And because of my own experience in the Army. You never EVER let your weapon out of your sight. I'll skip the weapons for now. Thanks Torben.

Yes, personal weapons make a nice visual touch, but even when there is a weapons rack in the vehicle, they are never left unattended. You do everything with your weapon, if not on you, within arms reach if weapons are issued. Aside from a few exceptions such as “stack arms” during some sort of training.

These things hold true alright.

Thanks alot guys. I'm having alot of fun with this one. I decided not to go with any weapons on this one but I did put alot of goodies on the package tray and behind the rear seat like binoculars, map case and bread pouch. I'm done with this part and will be moving on to the dash, steering column and steering wheel.

Clint: You won't be disappointed. So far this car is going together fairly easy.

Ok folks. Here's the completed chassis and interior. I don't have the wheels and tires on just yet because I like to do that in one of the last phases of auto builds. Just making sure that I have a good stance and no "three wheeler" look. The only thing I don't have pictured with the interior is the first aid kit. That will be fastened to the L/H rear side wall of the interior next to the rear seat.
