I may be coming into this a bit late, but yeah, can definitely see the issue with the intakes, not even sure aftermarket sets would correct that...if they're even available. It even looks like the intake area on the right side is a bit longer and differently shaped than the one on the left.

Yeah it is. They have resin intakes with covers but they've been out of stock for a long time. I'll figure out a way to fix them.

Wow. Can't believe that I haven't updated this in a while. I did get the intakes on. Still need to fill and sand them.

While at Nationals I scored big time with an Avionix resin wing fold. I got it for $10!!! It's a complete replacement wing too!

The Aires cockpit has been primed and ready for paint. I test fitted it into the fuselage today and it doesn't look like it's going to be too bad of a fit. I've started painting the seats as well.
