Lol! Yeah, it happens - glad I'm not the only one.

I only recall tossing and destroying a couple kits. Several times I’ve came close but soldiered on. Those ones usually got on my nerves and couldn’t wait to finish it. But yeah... you’re not the only one.

The only one I recall giving up on was a Monogram Wildcat. The plastic was so brittle it cracked every time I stressed it. But I did save most of the parts.

I know what you mean. I’ve got the old Monogram Kingfisher kit from Syrcon last year. Not too long ago, I decided to “fondle” the plastic and went ahead and build bits and pieces (Wings, simple sections, etc...) ahead of time so it’ll be one less thing to worry about. But yeah, I get the feeling this old bird’s plastic is gonna be brittle too.

Wow, seeing those pics of destroyed models from hammers and feet makes me cringe and hurt. Despite having dealt with some of the most grievous kits imaginable, I have never thrown, beat or stepped on a model in frustration. Only a couple made me want to, but I looked at all the work I'd already put into it and didn't want all that work wasted. I've never used a BB gun or firecrackers with any of my models either. That is why I have so many finished I guess...

Although after they have been completed, a few have met their demise in various ways that may or may not have been worthy of Hollywood films at the time…

I cannot recall either that I have smashed of pure frustration any kits so far.

However, due to lack of space to keep them, I have smashed them before throwing them away ..

I don't think I could bring myself to smashing a model to pieces. By the time I would get to that point, I'd likely have too much time and effort invested to just trash it. "Onward through the fog" I say!

But, balky motorized devices that "devil" me when I'm already hot and tired? Well...

Damn that sucks Stuart. I know the feeling though. I've had a few that I've had to.........well they were sent to the Boneyard and scraped for parts. Two have become paint mules, the Revell Tomcat and Jaguar.
