In reality it is interior green...self mixed. It comes with a smartphone photo which was enhanced....

I like it! It's ANA 611 equivalent or more the dark ZCG? So many greens inside the U.S. planes! Your version is probably more like this—referenced from IPMS in Stockholm, methinks—I meant it as a compliment!

I've always loved the P-38 Lightning too. Such a beautiful, fast aircraft. I read a book a long time ago about the development and creation of the Lightning. Numerous testings went into it before they finally got it right. Not sure if I still have it or not.

Yepp. She is a beauty and the P-38 has a special meaning to me...
My Grandpa was a war-prisoner in Germany during WW2. He didn't leave when french, british and belgian soldiers left from Dunkirk. So he got back to his hometown in Belgium and was later sent to Germany to work there. Then in 43, 44 and 45 when he and the other prisoners had to work outside, they feared those Lightnings whenever they saw them in the sky When I was kid and played with my Matchbox P-38 and later with my Revell Lightning he always told me the same P-38 stories. He still remembered the shape of this certain aircraft.
And today... Grandpa passed almost 20 years ago away and I don't have a Lightning in my cabinet for years, decades now which needs to be changed...

Marius, I stop to light a candle to the memory of your grandfather. Your model aircraft choices continue to release energies out into the world. I am honored. I am pretty sure we are all feeling honored by the depth of your integrity — I keep white candles for holidays, black outs, and to honor the memories of those who are no longer with us but still part of us. That was quite an incredible story. Thank you.
