Thank you John and Mr. Black Sheep. I like how the burnt umber toned down a little bit of the brightness in the wiring. They’ll shine just enough under the cowl to where you’ll be able to look in and say “Holy cow, Kenny X wired-up that engine” and that’ll be fine. Totally gonna do that again with my Hellcat when I build it, too.

Gotta get me some burnt umber...
It actually looked better than using black detail wash, which is usually my go-to wash.

I was using Mig’s panel line accent wash, but I tried the oil paint out on my tank and I really took a liking to it. Like Duke said, the thinner- Mona Lisa mineral spirits is really gentle. The washes with oil paint works very well and I haven’t had any problems so far. I’m going to keep using them.

Absolutely !
Oil washes (own made / mixed) really are great!

Okay boys, holy cow am I happy about this:
Oh man! That looks nice! I’m going to use these Yahu IP’s from now on if I can get my hands on them. Whoa boy!!
Okay, so that didn’t take as long as I thought! So now I have to paint the stick and foot rests/pedals, then I can install the cockpit module and seal her up! I am one happy guy right now!
