Looking good!! Great job elevating the kit with your skills. You made your deadline, too! What a great feeling that is, Marius.

And I am really happy with the result. Maybe in a year I might have finished a Gripen prototype too. Then I'll have YF-22, YF-23, Eurofighter, Rafale and Gripen in one collection.

You know I am on vacation with my family.
Nevertheless I took a kit with me: Saab Viggen by Matchbox.
First challenge is to scratch a cockpit. Off the kit it consists of two seats, that's it.

After all basics were applied, I painted some light gray on that scratched structure. I am very limited with equipment here on holiday site. So I need to use what I can find.

Marius, I saw your posts before going to bed and had a crazy dream that you were flying a jet through a small suburb somewhere in Germany... it was cool watching you takeoff and land in a small park... probably unrealistic unless it was VTOL but in my dream you managed to shrink the plane down just enough to fit. Dreams are so powerful and beautiful. The highest compliment in a way is that your work seemed real to me in the dream and you were flying... because the way you suggest re-creating seeing three jets together as a child.
Setting limitations or having to work around limitations is satisfying! My favorite airplane build that I did was a matchstick and tissue paper Wright Brothers Flyer which actually flew...

Hey Bruce!
What a story! I am talking about your dream. The only thing I want to add is that in my opinion dreams are the fourth or fifth dinension. The only dimension where you can travel with x-times light speed e.g.
I would like to see your Flyer!
Here comes the Viggen status:

That is some magnificent work considering that you're building it with the bare minimum of tools and supplies. Way to go! I also believe dreams are something more than what most people think they are....

Thank you Duke. You always have to fight with the weapons in your hand. Don't think, just so it.
The Viggen got its wings and some filler.
