I get where you’re coming from on your color goal with the PC.10. The Mr Hobby & Mr Color versions of OD are really good stuff as well. They have three in each color line, acrylic & lacquer, and each distinctly different from each other.

That is brilliant Bruce. I can't wait to see how that turns out.

Thank you, Mike, Carlos and Duke for your replies! It’s been a long road with many fits and starts. I just now set up my air brush when my neighbors were out and sprayed the Olive Drab Aircraft color. I’m going to let the paint cure while I run errands then I’ll be back to take photos. Thank you all.

Photographed on one of my Dad’s ceramic cigar holders; the colors are quite copacetic, don’t you think?
Well. Gosh. Darn. There’s a chip. So many layers, there was bound to be an issue like this. Well I’m a gonna mask and just feather the PC10 over this. Thoughts?

Bummer about the chip on the edge of the cowling. But that looks like an easy repair.
The old ash tray does make a nice matching stand

Carlos!! I'm thinking I might daub a small amount of acrylic on that chip to bring the surface level. My Dad used to use a match from a pack of matches as a paint dauber. Wow, this build is evoking so many past memories! That's one of the reasons I love this hobby so much. Good childhood or not so good childhood there is something akin to comfort food about building an old kit, isn't there?
