Is this a MiniArt base? Together with the half track it really tells a story! I like the relaxed pose of the driver while the other guys seem to be a little "nervous"...

The idea was to show the crew being wary for snipers as they drive through town. As we used to say when clearing streets, "eyes up!"
The base is an oval plaque I picked up for about $2 at Hobby Lobby. The road is plaster that I scribed a cobblestone pattern into. I had the buildings left over from my Sicily diorama. I think they might be MiniArt, but honesty can't remember. I picked up about a dozen building kits while building the Sicily dio so I could mix and match what I wanted.
Other than that, all the paints are various Model Master enamels, layered using a technique I learned for model railroading. Then a black wash, followed by Mig pigments, and all sealed with Testors flat laquer.
