Man! Thanks for the votes of confidence fellas. I've got a lot left to learn though I can tell ya that!!
An update for the week. I've got the radiator and the distributor mostly completed as well but will show those in future updates.
I've got my work cut out for me with this engine. Such a nice platform and it screams for added detail on top of what's already there.

Heh... my first kit was a car kit. I used to bang out at least 2 a week in my youth years. Soon it gets to be like riding a bike. IMO, cars and trucks are the easiest kits to do OOB. If I were to do one now, I’d probably toss the instructions out cuz I probably don’t need no stinkin’ instruction guide.dmminiatures wrote:Enjoying the thread. Pick up simple a Monogram Tom Daniels Design auto kit. They’re stupid simple and fun to build OOB. I did almost all of them in my youth years. You still can find them out there.... S’cool Bus, Vandal, etc... to name a couple.dmminiatures wrote:Enjoying the thread. I am still chicken-sh*t scared when wanting to do auto or motorcycle models. you make it look soooo easy!

Brilliant work Joe! I agree about that engine, although the way you have it now; it looks like it'll fire right up!
I agree about Tom Daniel's kits; I built the Red Baron and the Police Paddywagon. What fun!

Rommel’s Rod!! I would love to see you build that. I plan to build it with fancy pants AM on its tracks and engine.
Make more models!
