Got some more done on the carburetors and linkages. I managed to install PE screw heads on the top of each float bowl of the carburetors for the float adjustment seat screws. I also installed a throttle shaft through each carburetor and attached the throttle levers on one side and the return spring levers on the other side. I installed the center pivot stud and installed the primary throttle lever in the center of the manifold. Next up will be the stud installation at each end of the primary lever and then a throttle lever/ rod out to each carburetor. Throttle return springs and fuel delivery system is up after that.

No worries on the flat tops of the carbs as all that will be hidden once the air horns go on top.

That is some real beautiful work—exquisite job, Joe—from the way you assemble the components to the textures. One thing that matters most you really understand—a straight frame. That’s structure, and integrity, buddy—plus the deeper knowledge of how a car is put together. Also I may have missed the previous post concerning engine details, but that is some clean work!

now I don't believe this is a build anymore - there's no way that's a model! I reckon you've actually got a 1:1 Willys Demon and the floor of your garage is done out to look like a giant cutting mat!

Ok fellas......I've got tomorrow left to get any more progress done on this one for the coming week. I'll be off to camp with our son next week so I wont get anything done throughout the week. Got the throttle linkage done and have been working on other stuff like the fuel delivery system and radiator hose(which took three hose fabrications until I got a hose and clamp assembly that looked half decent! ). Still have the throttle return springs to install, fuel lines from the fuel junction block and gotta clean up those air horns which I have temporarily installed for effect.

Joe, that is really beautiful work at any scale. High marks. Exquisite. How did you make the radiator hose tubing and metal clamps? I have seen a few variations by modelers particularly on Mustang engines, but no two modeler makes tubing and clamps alike—each modeler seems to vary the approach. What I admire about your version is the realism of proportion. It’s a struggle for me to not over-emphasize what a part or design does. On your version the clamps are just right; and the fitting is spot on. Cool.
