Well, I finally found this and got all caught up. I'm glad that you got the airbrush issues figured out and mostly fixed. You've done some amazing work on this little model. Way to go Tom!

No major updates so far due to my sis came up for a few days to visit. I haven't seen her since the passing of my dad this past December. She was excited to come to NY to see us. Tomorrow, with the wife off to work, the son in school, we're spending some quality time as brother & sister to Cooperstown and getting into whatever trouble we could possibly get into . Together, we're like a barrel of monkeys getting into mischief. I've already told my wife if she gets a phone call from the PO - LICE she'll have to bail us out of jail. ROFLMAO!!

However, I managed to lose a tiny PE part for the strut. once I felt and heard that tiny little ping of the PE part fling off the tweezers I was holding it on, I knew it was gonna be lost forever.

I've searched the floor, my desk, the counter to my right, and everywhere twice - so far no luck. Hopefully, it'll turn up in the most unexpected places.

That is so great to see you getting together with your sister. I love that you guys have so much fun together. I wish I had a sister like that. My brother Mike was like that but he is gone. Have fun you guys!

That reminds me of a saying: A good friend is there to bail you out of jail. A great friend is one who's sitting right next to you in jail saying "Damn that was fun!"

Maybe you can have your sis look for the part. She'll probably find it right away....

No updates since I've been busy since I've return to work. However, I have resumed the search for that damn tiniest PE part around my work bench area from top to bottom. Slowly, I've spent the last 2 days cleaning, dusting, sweeping and searching for the part. So far, no luck...

What better time to do it now than later since my bench area is getting a bit cluttered. I'm finding loads of stuff both model and non-model related stuff (Books, magazines, newspaper clippings, model kit planning lists, genealogy stuff, etc...) Weeding out the crap I need to keep and toss out is well worth doing it now than later.
Next to clean is my work bench as I plan to slowly and carefully clean each square inch with hopes in finding it.

I found your airbrush very interesting. I have a similar sounding Paasche that a friend gave me as my first AB and I’m having a similar problem – I can get water through it but I’ve never been able to get paint out of it, even thought I’ve stripped it down twice.

I did wonder if the compressor I have isn’t man enough for the job, but it the one my with uses for decorating cakes with her AB so it can’t be that. I’m going to check the hose connections and the AB for tiny bits of fluff etc.

Wrong way to find a missing piece, the best way is to scratch the piece , when you finished magically the missing piece will founded if not works try to paint and finish the new piece

Good idea from Silvio. That always seems to work.

Another way I've done is get one of those hand vacs and vacuum the area. Then pull the dust trap, sort through it and nine times out of ten; you find the piece vacuumed up.

Well, can't find the damn PE so I took the advice and scratch built one using stretched sprues. It's basically two V shaped pieces which will be glued point to point with widest points to the main gear strut.

And can agree to Silvio and the more effort you put in the scratchbuilt part, the higher the probability is that you will find the piece...
