I'm currently working on the chassis and suspension. Before I go too far with the painting I've gotta get the stance set up. One of the good things about going with the Revell kit for a Lee build is that it has ALOT more detail packed into the kit as well as (and this is a definite plus) posable front wheels. I've been spending the last three days cleaning up all the chassis and interior pieces of all flash and mold seam lines. It's not tooooo awful bad really but it's been some work.

Gonna mirror this for the undercarriage color coating...with orange of course....

Wow that looks fantastic! Hope mine comes out 1/2 as well. The decal looks painted on.

Well...all week long I've been working on the chassis, rear suspension and exhaust system. I've got just about everything base coated and test fitted here in this picture but I still need to deepen the effects here. Don't want to keep it too boring under there.

Applied a subtle wash to the undersides to bring out some of the details and add some depth. I also hit up the leaf springs and differential edges lightly with a silver lead pencil:

This morning I was ready to mock everything up stance wise and see where I was with that part. If the stance is off...then the whole build is a wash. I'm going to have to move the rear wheels forward in the wheel openings just a tad and I'm going to have to reposition the bosses for the front wheel hubs to move the front wheel and tire assemblies up a couple of notches in order to lower the front of the car where it is in the picture. Other than that it looks like it might just be right on.

You know I had to do it my way a tad don't you? Wider tires / wheels in the back smaller tires/ skinnier wheels in the front.
