Got the weapons, tanks and wheels together. I'm gonna start working on the fuselage and building up the landing gear.

Just caught up on this thread. Impressive save there with the nose well. I noticed on the box art the pilot is launching with the canopy open. Did they really do that?

EDIT: the box art looks like they hijacked the cover of Ginters book on the demon - different markings, otherwise nearly identical. Including launching with the canopy open.

Yea they did that. The Demon was so underpowered and had so many takeoff accidents that pilots left the canopy open so ejection was easier

Thanks guys! Yeah I knew about them taking off with the canopy open. A lot of the early jets were severely under powered or just aerodynamically horrible. The Cutlass was another one.

Wow, I didn't know that about launching with the canopy open. I learned something today.
