Just caught up with this - fantastic work on that interior and that radio rack looks super. That EZ line seems to have worked well.
Skol!

Wish I had more to show since my last update but I've been sick with the flu, so bad that I actually left work early Friday morning around 1am. First time ever going home sick from the factory in 9.5 years, then I stayed in bed all weekend until I had to get back to work Sunday night. I had a fever that hit 102.8 I'm still not 100% but a lot better than I was.
Anyway yesterday and today I worked joining the top and bottom halfs together. Yesterday I got the part around the back doors joined then let that set and today got the rest of the halfs joined together. I will let this set until tomorrow to let it completely set up before working on cleaning the joint up and adding filler in a few places. Last thing I want is to have the seam pop on me while sanding.

Thanks for looking in!

Thank you Stu!
I got all the major construction done now up next masking off the interior and starting with the primer coat. As for now here is a few shots of where she sits. No major problems but I've built a few of these 251s so I knew what I was up against but it is a Dragon kit so need to constantly dry fit everything to make sure it's all going to line up in the end.

Thanks for looking in!

I'm out of Tamiya primer and the LHS is closed until Tuesday and Hobby Lobby is also closed today so decided to spend my time working on the antenna.
Since this is the Cyber Hobby boxing it doesn't come with the PE for the FUG 8 antenna. That's no problem since I picked this up at a model show a few years ago for only $3.

It comes with enough PE to make three FUG 8 aerials. It also comes with a bending jig. Just sit the PE on top of it.

Take the second half of the jig and press down on top of the aerial.

And you get one perfectly shaped FUG 8 aerial

Then after adding the kit pieces to finish it off

The other two antenna on the half track I clipped at the bottom of the rubber base drilled out a hole and added RB models turned 2mm antenna securing them with black CA.

While I was drilling the holes for the antenna I also drilled out the ends of the MG34s.
Thanks for looking in!

Dragon had some really smart ideas back in their prime. I still wonder why they lowered their output that much in the past years. I'd argue that their design team is working under another label these days.
