Now that is a blooming great Pic - it also tells me I need to go a LOT darker on my radome. I had repainted it but it's nowhere near that - but I like that contrast. Any suggestions on colour?

I also quite like the TER's with a bomb load out... :hmm:

Pick a RAF dark gray that you like and try it out...

BTW, have you had any sleep ?

lol! I normally go to bed around Midnight to 1:00am :bag:

In the end I went with Humbrol 106 Ocean Grey for the Radome.

I think it looks a lot better!

Cheers!

Thanks Gents - I think it looks better too. I have to say that whilst it's not the best kit/build in the world I'm really pleased as to how it's come out - I've put off doing these modern (ish) USAF schemes for ages because I thought they wouldn't work out very well with a brush but actually it's okay - more to come. I've started painting up the Tamiya CJ (bays and intake) and will hopefully get some colour on it soon.

Really liking building the Viper though, what a great looking aircraft.

Carlos@ It comes from my years suffering with insomnia, where I'd be up for three days as a push. I could in all honesty start work at midnight quite easily and work through until the small hours. It comes in useful with my son if he has a rough night and I have to sit up with him whilst he's in bed (I sit watching movies on the Kindle) - recently because of him I've not got to bed until 5:30 :sleep2: But usually I try to make myself get to by by 12, and then I'll read for an hour. My wife brought me a Red Light for that purpose.

Cheers!

Thanks Tom!

It does look better in daylight as well - but yeah, Ocean Grey works well.

Question - Do you think I should leave the demarcation line hard edged (between the topside greys) or should I soften it? :hmm:
