Mike, those are really cool! About 25-20 years ago, a younger friend brought this model to me and wanted me to give it a camo paint job. The result was a sort of quasi-dazzle scheme and he was happy. Several years later, he brought it back. I don't think he had a place to keep it. I began modifying it a little more and had plans for more. But it got stalled and put away for years. Now, I'd like to finish it up again. Years ago, I found a crawfish claw that I adapted to fit the model in place of one of the big cannons as a sort of bio-mechanical weapon. Several other parts need replacing and some more weathering and battle damage is in order.

Mike, do you have idea as to the origin of this kit? I'm pretty sure it's not Gundam but who's kit it is, I have no idea.

Actually, I believe that's a Destroid from the anime series Robotech: The Macross Saga.

Well, that's sure it! I know that my friend Shay had told me what it was several times but I had forgotten. Do you know who made this kit? I recall Shay telling me that the dazzle camo was really effective; the model was across his room and he thought the outline was very obscured. I really need to get to work on it and get that claw attached. Thank you for the info, Mike!

There's a lot of different companies that did it, Wave being one of them.

Thank you! I have a lot more that I'll get to eventually. Gotta get back to the jets for now.

So last week, we had our internet go down because of some idiots hit the fiber line digging holes. So I built this since I had nothing better to do really.

I bet that suit's a bugger to fit through doors...

Nice work Mike - are you going to go down the painting/weathering route on these things or just sticking to relaxing OOB builds?

Thanks guys! Yes Stuart I do plan on painting and weathering some. The process of it is completely different than anything else so I've been watching videos on it.
