Thank you Bruce and Stuart!
Next step with the ski's, to cut and sand them into shape.
I bought a few months ago, 2nd handed, a Cricut Joy cutter. Decided to make masks for the front tip of the ski, to make sure the two skis would be as identical as possible.
Perhaps not the most practical color of the vinyl mask.. white on white
But worked rather well!
Front is done, next the tipa in the back of the ski's that need also some bending, then some serious sanding, to get rid of the visible layers on the sides and then to the paint booth for next steps!

Time to continue with the build itself, and let the ski project wait for a few days. Bruces idea is perfect, it just needs to be executed with same perfection and that is more challenging than i tought.
So back to the Fokker.
As told earlier, the engine had to be finalised first, before the fuselage halves could be mated. Well, tonight that part was done
After I took the picture, I did some light drybrushing to highlight the fine details. Actually why, I don't know, as 95% of Mercedes engine will not be visible anyhow. Would have thought felt strange not to do so.
My first milestone has been reached, the fuselage has become one
None of the three Fokkers that were bought had guns fitted. Instead of guns, local engineers built a simple protective sheet on the "empty spot" and on top of that added a windscreen. Simple is the word—hence, a very rudimentary piece of styrene will do the job.
That's all, folks, for tonight!
