Does the Matchbox design slant a little down from the nose? I saw this on another thread...

It's a good looking craft! You mentioned Copic markers (blue) in use. I like those markers, too. A lot. The cockpit looks great.

I am excited! The only issue I see is with the gear. It is hard to know exactly how to lower the gear. Do you shave off height from the base or from where the struts connect to the wheels? I think the example of the kit with main gear too tall is important to consider. Keeping the belly essentially parallel to the ground is important. I do not want to base all of my thoughts on a single example but my criteria was kit-scale-subject (Matchbox-1/72-Saab Viggen) followed by quality of construction. Even basic construction yields data... but I was hoping to see some magic. Well, I see magic here! Just keep her parallel to the ground.

I'll keep that in mind. But the landing gear is a lot of steps away. I guess I assemble first the front gear and fix the Viggen on a device to measure the distance to the ground when it is parallel. Then I'll cut the gears at their interface to the gear houses. But let's see.

No worries!! The shape of the nose is complex, too: aggressive, slight turn down angle and the antenna follows the angle as well. Interesting design!
