And then it's Dauntless time to get an engine

----------

And then, we have a new kid on the block, a Brewster F2A-1 / Model 239 Buffalo !!

I bought the kit back in October 2017, had plans to build it in Finnish airforce camo etc. I started the build back then, but it ended after while on the shelf. The kit was / is not the easiest build and I guess my mojo just faded away with that Special Hobby kit.

But now, many years later, inspired with the Avenger and Dauntless, I decided to find the kit and instead of building a Finnish bird, I will do it in US Navy camo. Will look nice next to the Avenger and Dauntless, and my Wildcat from Eduard of course.

I ordered from https://www.hannants.co.uk/ Starfighter Decals and a canopy mask set.

The wing section and part of the cockpit was already ready but engine was still unattached etc.
So first step was to attach the engine construction, here the fragile thing just and just stays in one piece.. Don't ask me how many times I re-glued it...

Also, I had put some effort in the landing gears, as seen in the pic below. Had totally forgot...

I'm positively surprised, that all bits and pieces are still in the box. At least have not been able to pinpoint any missing parts.

The instructions tells to attach one fuselage half at the time, and then continue building up the cockpit. And that's good, as the engine construction is rather complicated and very fragile.

Here just before the other fuselage half goes on, very simple cockpit all n'all.

Let's see what next
