Looking forward to seeing more work on the Mustang, Bruce!
Like that blogger, I remember my father taking me to the theater to see Tora Tora Tora in the early 70's. I can't remember if we went to see it because of my interest in WW2 aircraft or if the movie sparked that interest but it was definitely a big influence on me.

John and Carlos,
I definitely need to see more classic war films, including “Tora! Tora! Tora!” I am pretty sure George Lucas cut footage from both “Battle of Britain” and “Tora! Tora! Tora!” as demo reel - editorial style for the dogfights at the end of “Star Wars.” Not that that is my only reason. I am definitely learning from you about movies, models and history.
I need to fit the IP to move ahead with finishing the cockpit. I worry about positioning the cockpit in the fuselage, because there are no longer any sections left of the old version to indicate position relative to the rest of the airframe.
Good news is I joined Aircorps Library recently!

Holy wow! Do you have any more images specifically of the rivet and panel details? Those are some of the best reference images I have seen! What an amazing museum and amazingly keen eye you have for detail! Excited to build the Revell! Where is Alexy and his 1/32 flaps?

OH WOW
This is the only Mustang in existence with original everything! All of the coatings including the ZCY in your photo are factory originals!!!!
Maybe if we contact the museum they will share details too... I will check this out discretely....
