SPA Modeler

I am not sure! The aircraft is supposedly factory standard. I just was surprised to see “Zeus” fasteners closing the breathers! Since “Cripes” has closed breathers I simply used Milliput to cover the breather holes, but it does make sense that the cover plate needs to be securely fastened. This is an important clue, methinks—and this will send me back to look more closely at historical photos... and to the AirCorps Library.

I have one of those Phantom Mustang kits! This is cool; I'll have to save these pics for future reference.

One element I am not sure I will love eagerly to explore is scribing the paneling, but I will start this soon by drawing the pencil grid. I actually left the lower half of each fuselage side alone because I had to sand what was previously filled in by another modeler.

I actually started by trying the Creos vs RP Tools and so far I like the lighter weight of the RP when used in a hobby knife handle, but I find myself at cross purposes with the idea of creating one line because when I draw I draw many lines to make one and automatically I seek to duplicate this by making many shallow cuts.

I need to decide on an approach.

In my experience, using aa scribing tool for panel lines is alot like dancing with the devil. Ive started using fishing line or even sewing thread unless I am working in tight spots and in that case theres really no choice BUT to use a scribing tool. Will be watching the magic unfold.
