Looks like a good read. I'm really interested in the early war period so this should be a good fit.

That book is source material for a lot of works since it was published. A very thorough work on that time period for USN carrier ops.

Nice grab! I’ll need to check it out thru my workplace. I know a gal a work who might be able to find a copy for me to borrow.

Very cool Mike, what do you think of those Expanse books, better than the TV show?

Actually they're pretty close to the same. From what I understand, it changes a lot after Book 4.

LHS Had this in stock. I passed it up a few weeks ago. Went back today and it was still there. I said what the heck. Got it home an opened it up and now I need dental work after my jaw hit the floor. How can something so beautiful be molded in 1/72? Surface detail is amazing. No flash. Frigg'n cockpit has 11 parts! This is probably the best ki-84 kit kitted to date in any scale -- let that sink in. I guess all the hoopla I've been hearing about Arma Hobby kits recently is well founded. Bad news -- now I'm going to have to get their P-51B after all... Grrrrrr $$$$. One think I did not expect, as this is the 'basic' kit-- it came with Eduard Precut Masks! :wow:

When Sprue Bros has a sale and it's exactly what you need. Got some replacement props for the Orion (very fragile) and some intake covers for the Skyhawk.
