Your scribing will really make this pop. I know of one guy who uses a plastic tape alongside the lines as a guide. He also starts with a few small cuts too. My poor attempts at scribing usually start with scoring the plastic with a hobby knife and then scribing inside the open groove. Doesn't mean I can keep a straight line though..... :headslap: :bag:

Thanks so much for your thoughts, Mark! Awhile back I purchased a heavier clear tape similar to Dymo Labeling Tape developed specifically for scribing models, so yes to your suggestion! Right now I am experiencing similar results to what you describe in your “scoring-first” scenarios. This definitely takes practice!

I am going to take a “stab” at answering for Joe because I have seen fishing line and dental floss used as guides when scribing circular forms...
