How you gonna replicate that chalked-on shark mouth and NATO star???

Decals are finally done.
I used Astra decals. The set that had the Nato star and shark mouth did NOT have the tail codes . I had to get those from another source. Those two markings were done in white chalk on the real deal. On the decal sheet, they looked like an almost exact match to the light grey on the model...but lightened up considerably, once removed from the backing sheet...and are passable.





It'll be quick going now...as I have all the fiddlies done already! Should be wrapped up this weekend!

WOW...the NATO star and mouth set this one apart...so what's your verdict on the Tamiya kit? And BIG Sin Eduard set???

Well, I can't complain about the kit, at all...other than the decals, which I didn't use anyway. Fit was as perfect as anything could be!

Big Sin set...that's the whip cream on the ice cream!!!

My only concern is that he front end seems too blunt and the rear end seems too short...???

On a side note...had a great day!
Got off work early...got home, got the leaves blown off into the woods, mowed the lawn for the last time and put the tractor into hibernation...cut down a couple few limbs and had an hour of daylight to spare! I decided to kill that hour, in the deer woods. I fully expected to see nothing, as there has been very little sign of any deer activity in my woods. Figured I'd relax for that hour, just enjoying the woods, then hit the bench. Normally, I won't use my crossbow, unil I've taken at least one deer with the regular bow, but given the pinched nerves, the bow is out.
This one presented a clean shot at 40 yards, which is my self imposed limit for the crossbow (25 yards for regular bow).



So much for only an hour in the woods!
I'm paying dearly for it now...lots of pain...totally worth it!!!

Nice looking bird sir! Congrats on the deer, nice shot! I miss being able to go hunt and clear the mind..... but I don't miss the work your going thru!

ummmmmm Back strap. I have some new seasoning rub that I am itching to try on some venison.
