Heh -- just figured out it's a 3 hours drive from my house. No different than heading to the Basketball HOF in Springfield, Massachusetts. Hmmm... I might plan it as a combo weekend getaway with the family.

Ok, I was going to post this a few hours ago, but then life happened... so, after seam clean up of the chin scoop insert, there we're still a couple of good size side gaps to contend with...





so I cut a couple of pieces of triangular strip styrene to length and glued them in place...





After I let them dry overnite, I sanded them to fit and no more gaps!





That's all for now...

I'm curious, is there a particular reason why you've added the prop at this stage or is that how you work normally?

Stuart, if there was a way to have added the prop later in construction, I would have. Perhaps in hindsight if I left the upper cowl loose until after painting... but following the directions (WHAT!!!???), you build the prop early on, then place it when the fuselage halves are glued together. I think you're going to have the same deal with your Hurricane.

Lyle, these little "quick" jobs can indeed have some pain. But nothing too painful on this so far. There will be some serious gaps to address at the wing roots all my test fits are showing...

Great job on the gap filling Carlos! It looks like cleanup is more of a challenge given some of the raised details.
