Those kind of mishaps happen to all of us. Good to hear that you are motivated to resolve this. I would probably shelved it indefinitely (best case).

Well, it isn’t a cheap kit, so that had something to do with carrying on. I think the damage look worse than it is.

Quite the morning! Dumped about 90 X-Acto blades in my lap and on the floor. Did some additional repair work on the top of the fuselage. There is a large depression in the top where the whole thing sagged in a bit, but I believe it will be okay...
I thought I had ordered Tamiya White putty a bit ago, and I think it was advertised as such, but it is a gray and has a lacquer type odor to it. Seems pretty good though.
I also went to the box to get the kit tailwheel and it was gone. Perhaps it went to the store, market, out drinking? I don't know. Opened up the resin pieces and had successfully handled the little tailwheel fork …. until I went to glue it to the strut. Boing....it went looking for the kit piece!

Since i had the Czech model kit, I got the kit tailwheel from that and marching onward.

You must have done something to anger the modeling gods recently Lyle.

No doubt about it! I'm going to do penance now and go eat pizza!

Don’t drink when I’m driving. Small town police seem to pop up from out of nowhere. Did quaff a couple of diet Dews.

Yeah, you can probably guess where this is going.
Uh, sort of forgot about it. I had placed it under a desk lamp.
Well, it looked like a popsicle left on the driveway in the summer.
Melted the Bonde.
Melted 2 or 3 BB sized holes along the seam.
A good icnch or a bit more started to sag down into the interior.
Smokin’!
No, I did not take any pictures.
Yes.
,I think it is salvageable. Already put the first coat of filler on it.
Time to recite the chant:
OH WA TA JER.KIAM......OHMMM
Don't feel bad. At least it's salvageable. I melted a nose on a Rafale kit to the point that I just threw it out.

Lyle, this is indeed an endeavor my friend, but you got this. As for the Williams Bros. C-46, you could also go looking for my Maddog Manufacturing Thread which shows my efforts on mine. I didn't do nearly the same details and such that Richard did but mine actually turned out quite well and was easier to build than he did. If you can't find it, I'll see if I can re-create it somewhere when you are ready to start yours.

I had forgotten about your build of the C-46. I’ll go see if I can find it.
Lately, it seems, so much of the opportunities are self inflicted. Not sur3+what to do about that except keep at it. Also, a better bench discipline would help.
